Film writer and director of more than 30 social change documentaries, including `Labels`(Kleimo), `In Out` (V Aute), `Some In, Some Out` (Svoi Ne Svoi), `Children of the State` (Kazennye Deti), and `Hear Me` (Uslysh Menya). Since 2015, he has been promoting the development of cinema as a social tool and social issues creative film production in Russia via the `Third Sector Lab`. Tikhonov-Rau is one of the founders of the `Artvideo Studio` production company specializing in TV production and creative film production about social issues. He has been a laureate at many international and Russian film festivals. For the last four years Tikhonov-Rau has been a member of the Documentary Film Expert Council of the Russian Ministry of Culture.
