Samuel Habib, 16, made this 18-minute documentary about disability rights hero Judith Heumann for a school history and english project. The movie is built on a Skype interview he did with Judy in spring 2016, combined with Samuel’s research and narration (using his communication device). Heumann is an internationally recognized leader in the disability community and a lifelong civil rights advocate for disadvantaged people. She is the Special Advisor for International Disability Rights at the U.S. Department of State. Samuel Habib is an 11th grade student at Concord (NH) High School, NH, USA, and an aspiring multi-media story teller. Samuel was featured in the 2009 documentary film Including Samuel, directed and produced by his father, filmmaker Dan Habib.
